Backend Engineer

About the role

We're looking for a Backend Engineer to build and maintain reliable, scalable backend services. You'll work with our frontend and design teams to power great user experiences.

What you'll do

• - Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services
• - Work with Firebase, Node.js, and cloud infrastructure
• - Maintain code quality through testing and documentation
• - Optimize performance and scalability
• - Collaborate with frontend engineers to ensure seamless integration
• - Ensure data security and privacy best practices
• - Debug and troubleshoot backend issues
• - Monitor server and database performance

What you'll need

• - 3+ years of experience in backend development
• - Strong knowledge of Node.js and JavaScript
• - Experience with Firebase or similar BaaS
• - Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
• - Understanding of RESTful API design
• - Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• - Solid debugging and problem-solving skills
• - Understanding of authentication and authorization (OAuth, JWT)

Nice to have

• - Experience with TypeScript
• - Familiarity with GraphQL
• - Knowledge of containerization (Docker)
• - Exposure to serverless architecture
• - Monitoring tools (e.g., Sentry, Datadog)
• - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS)
